MAT2 (Michigan Advanced Technician Training) Informational Meeting
Businesses need employees who are well-trained, loyal and respectful on their workforce. These skilled employees are in demand and a new program, MAT2, is designed to train and educate employees specifically for the open positions within our community.
Many skilled jobs that are going unfilled here in Livingston County and Michigan. The Howell Chamber is hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 10 from 8am-10am about a manufacturing apprenticeship program MAT2 (Michigan Advanced Technician Training). This program will be particularly informative for manufacturers, workforce developers, and educators looking to close the skills gap. The MAT2 apprenticeship program involves employment and custom designed education at, typically, a community college. Denise Flannery, program manager for the Michigan Talent Investment Agency and Sophie Stepke, training manager of ZF North American will be our presenters.
