Emmy award winning investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson, based in Washington D.C., is set to speak at the March 3 Livingston Economic Club luncheon, set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the Johnson Center at Cleary University, 3750 Cleary Drive, Howell.
Attkisson, formerly of CBS News, wrote the New York Times bestseller “Stonewalled: My Fight For the Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation and Harassment in Obama’s Washington” (Harper Collins, 2014) to address the unseen influences of corporations and special interests on daily news. Attkisson holds no prisoners, reporting equally about Democrats and Republicans, profits and non-profits. |

| Mar 10 Good Morning Livingston |
| During March's Good Morning Livingston, you'll learn about the largest construction project in Michigan is under way at Michigan State University as the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) takes shape. The FRIB will be a new national user facility for nuclear science, funded by the Department of Energy Office of Science (DOE-SC), Michigan State University (MSU), and the State of Michigan.
Operated by MSU, FRIB will provide intense beams of rare isotopes (short-lived nuclei not normally found on Earth). FRIB will enable scientists to make discoveries about the properties of these rare isotopes in order to better understand the physics of nuclei, nuclear astrophysics, fundamental interactions, and applications for society.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at The Johnson Center at Cleary University, 3750 Cleary Dr. in Howell.
Tickets are $20 for members in advance and $25 at the door. Non-members/guests are $30. You can save time at registration and get a pass to use to bring along a client or co-worker to a program when you purchase a subscription to Good Morning Livingston.
