The 2016 season of the Howell Sunday Farmers’ Market gets under way Sunday, May 1, and runs every Sunday through Oct. 30, featuring locally grown produce, handmade goodies from 50 vendors and live entertainment.

Howell's Sunday Farmers' Market is celebrating its 23rd year.

Visitors and residents enjoy the finest in locally grown produce, bedding plants, flowers, homemade goods and crafts, all set against the backdrop of the Livingston County Courthouse and historic downtown Howell. Weekly entertainment and the energetic downtown ambience have helped create a “mini-festival” atmosphere at the market.
 
Featuring:

    Fresh produce
    Garlic/herbs
    Honey and maple syrup
    Perennials and annuals
    Potted trees and shrubs
    Farm fresh eggs
    Fresh, pasture-raised poultry
    Heirloom plants
    USDA organic grass-fed beef & pork
    Certified organic raw cheese
    Fresh baked breads

42nd Annual Howell Chamber Summer Golf Classic, Wed., July 20


The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Summer Golf Classic — with a reputation as one of the most fun golf outings in Livingston County — tees off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20.

The chamber’s 42nd Annual Summer Golf Classic will be held at the beautiful Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Howell. This is your chance to play the course that Golf Digest Magazine awarded a four-and-a-half star rating, if you haven’t already.

The Jerry Matthews-designed course is located at 8101 Byron Road, north of Chase Lake Road and south of Cohoctah Road. The course is owned and operated by the Miesle family, which built Hunters Ridge on part of their centennial farm, taking great care to preserve the land’s natural beauty. The course features undulating topography amid 30 acres of natural wetlands.

Sponsorships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Foursomes are being reserved now.
