The 2016 season of the Howell Sunday Farmers’ Market gets under way Sunday, May 1, and runs every Sunday through Oct. 30, featuring locally grown produce, handmade goodies from 50 vendors and live entertainment.

Howell's Sunday Farmers' Market is celebrating its 23rd year.

Visitors and residents enjoy the finest in locally grown produce, bedding plants, flowers, homemade goods and crafts, all set against the backdrop of the Livingston County Courthouse and historic downtown Howell. Weekly entertainment and the energetic downtown ambience have helped create a “mini-festival” atmosphere at the market.

    Fresh produce
    Garlic/herbs
    Honey and maple syrup
    Perennials and annuals
    Potted trees and shrubs
    Farm fresh eggs
    Fresh, pasture-raised poultry
    Heirloom plants
    USDA organic grass-fed beef & pork
    Certified organic raw cheese
    Fresh baked breads

Speakers include Howell City Manager Shea Charles, who will talk about new city projects, opportunities within the city and the economic impact for our community and within the city; Chem-Trend Limited Partnership President and CEO, Devanir Moraes, who will speak about the growth of Chem-Trend LP and new expansion of their operation that began and is headquartered in Howell ; and Cleary University President, Jayson Boyers, who will discuss the growth and direction of Cleary University as their programs evolve to reflect new paths for students, working students and the area businesses who hire Cleary graduates.

The 7th annual September Stroll Restaurant Crawl will take place on Wed., September 21.  The Stroll is a fun evening offering the opportunity to taste generous samples at our area's most delicious restaurants.  No one has ever left a Stroll hungry.

Sep 23    Benefit Corps (B-Corps) Press Conference
A Benefit Corporation is a type of for-profit corporation that focuses on positive social and environmental impacts in addition to more traditional goals like maximizing value for shareholders. Benefit corporations provide an opportunity for businesses to use the markets, rather than traditional charity giving, to advance their philanthropic missions. A panel discussion for questions and answers will follow the press conference. The public is welcome to attend.
