Dear Valued Employers,
It's hard to believe that in a few short weeks, the 2024-2025 school year will come to a close! In fact, Hartland High School is officially done on May 23 and Howell on May 30!! Now that students will be out of school with MUCH more time on their hands, what will they do??
This June, we are piloting a new approach to our Job Shadow Day by inviting local employers to offer flexible job shadow opportunities throughout the month of June. This could be a one day event, or something that occurs weekly (every Tuesday) or for five consecutive days. Your choice! You set the schedule that works best for you.
We will advertise these opportunities with our students and families BEFORE they leave the high school so they can get some great work based learning experiences this summer to help them with their career direction and to make a plan for after graduation!
We have discovered that our Livingston Job Shadow Day is a fantastic opportunity for employers to make connections with recent graduates, as well as students exploring their career options. It is a way to network and build relationships with students, showcasing your company culture and opportunities while keeping our local talent local.
